Thing 3: Data Makeover

posted in: News | 0

Data is a pretty hot topic these days, and it’s important to know how to understand it, and use it well.  In Thing 3: Data Makeover, we look at how you can present data in a visual way, using graphs and charts.

We have also released two other related Things. ‘Demystifying Data‘ introduces you to the basics of data, and ‘Visual Communication’ is about making ‘infographics’.

There’s a lot there, so just dip in and take a look at what interests you most.

The Weekly Facebook Challenge – Create an infographic

This week’s creative challenge is to beautify some info by creating a visualisation. Try making your own infographic using a tool like Canva, or draw your own. For something different, have a go at drawing your own selfie with data.  We’d love to see your creation over at the Curtin Makers Facebook group.

Note from Chief

Kaya everyone! I just wanted to say thanks so much for joining us on this journey through 23 Things.  I’m still catching up with Thing 2, but loved seeing all the memes from the Thing 1 creative challenge. Samaira has posted some of the team’s memes on the blog – Freddie’s one sure had us talking in the office!

We’re very interested in your thoughts about Thing 3 or the 23 Things program in general – you can write them here.
