Thing 1: Getting Started

posted in: News | 0

Thing 1, “Getting Started” has landed at last!   This week is all about settling in ready to embark on your digital adventure with us.  You’ll reflect on your level of digital skills and knowledge, and meet the Certitude team.

Head over to Thing 1 whenever you are ready, but be sure to check out the other activities we have going on, below.

All the Things

If you are wondering what 23 Things is all about, what topics we’ll be looking at and when they are scheduled, visit the 23 Things website.  Remember, you can do as much or little as you like, it’s totally up to you

The Weekly Facebook Challenge – Create a meme

Each week we’ll be presenting a creative challenge for you to share on the Curtin Makers Facebook Group.  This week’s challenge is to create a meme. It can be about anything you like, so have fun with it!   This meme generator may help.  You can make it directly on the website without having to create a login.  Simply choose a picture, add your own text, and then download it as an image file.

 Once upon a Thing

If you are wondering why on earth fictional characters appear to be running the show, you might have missed our previous blog post, which explained it a bit.  You learn soon enough, no doubt, but you can find out more by taking a look around the blog. Leave a comment on any blog post – we’d love to hear from you!   You can also follow us on Twitter (@CertitudeHQ).

23 Things workshops

To supplement the online modules, we are running workshops each week throughout 23 Things (online and face to face). Our first workshop this week is on Creative Thinking, followed by Video Editing next week.  The workshops are only available to Curtin students/staff. See the workshop schedule and register here

Complete the Digital Profile activity in Thing 1 before 6pm (AWST), Monday 17 August, and you will go into the weekly draw to win a $100 Coles/Myer voucher.
